Greetings,

We are a NASA team working on a cockpit weather information system project led by NASA Langley Research Center. We need to conduct a survey of pilots to identify their requirements from a new cockpit weather information system. The survey is available online and the participants can submit it by going to the website:

http://www.geocities.com/qfdsurvey

We would like you to take a few minutes to complete this 18-question survey that examines your views of the characteristics of new "cockpit weather information systems." Your input is very important, and will provide valuable data for developing user-oriented advanced cockpit weather information systems.

We can also email, fax, or mail you the survey if you let us know that it is your preference. Please let us know if you encounter any problems with the online version so that we can send it to you directly.

This is a serious project that will provide important results to
the system provider companies to bring you the best cockpit weather information system "in your terms."

Please let us know if you have any questions via the contact information provided below.

Thank you.

gfdsurvey,

Thanks to you and the NASA folks for helping out the "small guys" in addition to your focus on spacecraft. I for one appreciate your efforts. Keep up the good work and keep the "Blue Side Up", or if your high enough the "Black Side Up".

Thank you for the encouragement, and many thanks to the people who completed the survey (http://www.geocities.com/qfdsurvey). Unfortunately some of them experienced browser incompatibility problems and could not see the survey properly. We are working on that and the problem will be solved till midday Monday. Meanwhile, we can email the word version to you if you send us your email address or fax number. We need as many pilots as possible to participate. So we will appreciate if you let other pilots know about the survey as well.

Thanks again for your valuable contribution to this project.
