I'm sitting here doing some finish up questions with my buddy who is going for his first airline interview tomorrow. Lets see who can come up with the best, or hardest interview question.

OK...its his FIRST AIRLINE INTERVIEW. Coming off flight instruction. But our answer is however long Mr. Captain says.

Scenario:

You are sitting in the cockpit one early morning running checklists with the captain. The flight attendant arrives at the aircraft, and comes up to the cockpit. She is crying. She screams to the captain, "You SAID you weren't MARRIED, you A%#*!@". She storms back into the cabin, as the captain smirks at you.

Probie FO. What do you do?

Lifted from another board:

Actual interview question from a European airline:

Guns, flowers and little boys put this list in the right order.
Most correct answer tomorrow.....:D

your on final approach and you realize the captain is going to kill you both and eveyone on board. What do you do?

You say. Thats an easy one. If the captain has decided that it is a good day to die who am I to argue with him.

Your at the hotel bar during your RON, The capt comes down wearing a dress, what do you do?

Captain shows up on the flight deck in a dress, makeup on, and a rose with a card with your name on it. What do you do and why?.

A) Give him a big hug

b) A big kiss

C) play tonsil hockey with him

D) A & C

Thankfully, there's professional interview prep.

Now I know why there are people like AlbieF15 and Resume Writer in the world.

Hmm. Tough interview questions--especially for your first airline:

Generally speaking, how does wing sweep affect Mcrit?

If winglets are such a good idea why don't all new airplanes have them?

Explain Mach Tuck

What's the difference between a stator and a variable guide vane?

And the toughest one of all: Tell me about yourself.

Good luck.

Explain:

Qfe

Mar also pointed out Mach tuck, another good one

A crazed Nascar pilot during a PPL exam hands the aircraft during an unusual attitude recovery to the applicant with a 60 degree nose down pitch, the throttle friction lock so tight it takes both hands to loosen it and the aircraft just past Vne. This examiner doesn't understand.......

1) How to win friends and influence people.

2) Aerodynamic Buffet

3) Coriolis Effect

4) That is isn't ok to break a reg cause you like them Nascars.

And QDM/QDR ;)

-passing the FAF, you get an engine rollback, what action do you take?
-holding in freezing rain at 7000', what action do you take?
-what kind of incing do we expect in cumulus clouds?
-why are you in aviation?
