Does anyone have locations and/or phone numbers for Air Force Reserve and Guard units flying helos around the country?

Trying to start some networking.

Thanks!

There is a New York Air Guard Unit out on Long Island….(KFOK)
It's the unit from the movie "The Perfect Storm". They fly C-130's and H-60's.

All Guard units are a tight familey...In or out “NO” F*ing about.

Due to there losses during that storm I would think they are seriously "wired tight".

Hope this helps.

“TGIF”

Thanks... I have had enough of the Navy, and was looking for something different, but the same.. ummm

As per losses, do you mean that they will need folks?

Again, thanks for all your help.

There's an SAR unit at Patrick(just south of the space shuttle launch facility at Cape Canaveral) operating C130's and Blackhawks(I think that's AF Reserve). There's also an ANG unit at Jacksonville flying AH-64A Apaches(1st Batallion, 111th Aviation Regiment).

Reserve helicopters

The units you speak of are:

AFRES

301st Patrick AFB, FL
305th Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ

ANG

106th Gabreski ANGB, NY
129th Moffet Field, CA
210th Kulis ANGB, AK

They are ALL hiring. At the 106th we are short about 10 helicopter pilots but we do not get many training slots a year. The optimum would be a H-60 qualified pilot but any military helicopter or fixed-wing guy (or gal) is viewed positively. If you wish to come in as a civilian, it may take a couple of years to get a slot. And it goes without saying that local residents are preferred in all units.

The number for the 101st Squadron Commander (106th Rescue Wing at Gabreski) is 631 723-7404. Call and discuss your future with him. As for numbers to the other units, I would do a web search or call information. It is all a matter of where you wish to work.

Good luck,

SB

Thanks for the info... I am a past -60 guy, so that might be good for everyone, if I could fit the requirements.
