Grog, He's simply stating what we on the East have seen occur in real life during our previous 3 or 4 (or more) mergers.

How many 121 mergers have you experienced? Not trying to flame you btw .....

So your saying that after 3 or 4 mergers you get to start making your own rules or just ingnore the rulings you don't like...................?

Nobody likes paying taxes...........how come you guys haven't just passed a "Resolution" stating that you think taxes are silly and only the "little people or Rookies" have to pay them and not you..............?

How can anyone respect you guys anymore????

Oh yeah you will just pass a "Resolution" demanding that they do !!!!!!!!!!!!!! silly me!

You're right Johnny, this is my first merger. Wow! what a pain. I really tried to see things their way. To provide a little latitude for the stuff they've gone thru, but come on.

They stall the entire negotiating process because they don't like the outcome of the arbitration that THEY TOOK US INTO with their ridiculous DOH argrument. Now they won't even work towards a new contract during the only time that USAirways has been profitable in the last decade.

They have made us impotent. They have cost us money and quality of life improvements all because they won't abide with the BINDING ARBITRATION.

Now they are hurting all of ALPA. All 60,000 pilots because of their actions. We will never be able to take back the profession because guys are so hung up on one issue that they refuse a nearly $30 per hour increase in pay, better duty rigs and better QOL to save face over a lost arbitration. An arbitration that even the new USAPA lawyers say will not be able to be overturned.

Now its just ego, plain and simple. Sorry your merger didn't go the way it did when AMR bought TWA. But get over it.

I was responding to the notion the West pilots would remain in their current domiciles and not bid East Captain vacancies (given the chance).

That was all.
