I'm in need of a high performance Single Engine Plane or a Twin that moves along pretty good. I need the plane for a week or so to do some traveling with. Does anyone on the West Coast or near the West Coast have anything like this available and for what costs? Most flight schools don't have aircraft like these. Are there companies that specialize in rentals like this? Any info would be appreciated.

There's a school in Long Beach that rents some pretty high-performance aircraft. IIRC, they have a B55 Baron & a A36 Bonanza, possibly a Centurion as well. They're in the same building as MillionAir, I remember seeing their flyers when I flew into LGB as a freight dog. You could try calling millionair-LGB & asking about them.

Based at KVNY (Van Nuys, CA), we offer a well-maintained 1978 T210M, 325 HP, Garmin 530, FD, A/P, TIS, and special cross country rates.

The insurance requires private + instrument, 25 m/m plus a checkout, or a 10 hour checkout (0 time in type). The website is at www.genehudson.com (T210 info coming soon) or PM/email me.

Fly SAFE!

Try joining an aero club! They often have a 210 or similiar...

Try Justice Aviation out of Santa Monica (SMO). They've got a Cirrus, Mooney, Dutchess, Trinidad and several other aircraft, about 30 airplanes on the line for rent. Most of the aircraft require basic insurance requirements and a/c checkouts. The Cirrus has some more stringent requirements, but it's a sweet ride! Justice has the best instructors in town, IMHO.
