A/C ferry rate

Looking to earn a few bucks ferrying airplanes.

What is the going rate for piston (single and multi) and small regional
aircraft?

The going rate? All you can get. It depends on the airplane. Single engine light airplanes fetch $100. a day plus modest expenses. I had a request to ferry a North American T-28A at $300. a day, the going rate is around $500. for this type of plane. The rate increases with complexity. If you take a look at BarnStormers.com you can get a good idea of the going rate. One pilot offers to ferry for expenses only. I looked him up on the FAA website, he was a student pilot! If you have tailwheel experience it is a plus. Lots of people weanting their taildraggers ferried. Good luck!

I used to charge $200/day for a single, $250 for multi. For specialty stuff, like the Pitts S1 I ferried from California to Florida, I charged more. I had fun doing it. A friendly tip, though....fly day, VFR only...between all the airplanes I ferried, I had almost everything you can imagine fail..instruments, engines, entire electrical systems, etc..
