Sup Ya'll...

What's the state of the contract? Today's the day and I wanna know if there was any late night negotiations that resulted in getting it done before the deadline.

PCL management has determined that their buisness model is doomed to fail unless they have the cheapest employees in the industry. No deal.

If they take this route, they won't have any employees. We need to push this forward somehow.

Yes, the contract was done and the TA was issued at 0001 this morning.

.APRIL FOOLS!

Ten million dollar question, will they start taking CRJ's away. When was the Deadline again? It's crap but it's Red Tails "policy"

I don't see why management would be in a hurry. Plenty of newhires going there every month and if PNCL pilots attempted a strike i'm sure mgt would find a way to get a court to block it. So much for leverage.

My guess is that that little tidbit about taking airplanes away, put in there to scare the pilots, is now scaring management. I'm sure when it was written, neither 9E or NW ever intended for it to happen. Well, 9E now has huge staffing, completion, and delay issues. I wouldn't be surprised if NW is immensely happy at the fact that they can take some of those planes away and have them flown by an airline that can properly staff them. Plus, it'd fix 9E's staffing issues.

When did NWA publish anything about possibly taking away airplanes? I thought they were only under the gun with fines if they had bad completions.

Part of Pinnacle's service agreement with Northwest are various ways that Pinnacle's CRJ fleet can be contractually reduced. One of them is if a pilot contract is not signed by March 31st.

Keep in mind that NWA can only take back 17 of the airplanes. The other 124 planes are guaranteed for the next 10 years. If they were to start taking those 17 planes, then we would still be understaffed.

Nobody can block a strike except the president if the NMB calls an impass in negotiations. Even if the president blocks the strike it is not permanent and eventually the parties will resolve it on their own.

Pinnacle Airlines Management extends negotiations - FlyF15 is probably on the money with mgmt being scared of losing revenue, although some of it is protected.

As a result of Northwest obtaining the right to remove the 17 aircraft, the size of Pinnacle's stipulated unsecured claim against Northwest will increase by $42.5 million. Receipt of this claim partially off-sets the loss of income associated with these 17 aircraft.
They'll still lose money, but not as badly.

Stock price, however, will likely suffer in today's trading, my guess would be by about a buck fifty or 10% approx. Will rebound IF a deal is reached.

My bet is it will still be a crappy deal and won't keep those with experience from leaving for greener pastures. Staffing problems will likely continue to plague the airline, just as they have since FDX and CAL started hiring as well as the LCC's.

The captains would probably be happy if we got rid of the 17 airplanes! :)
Yeah i guess i dont see what the problem is. Who cares if they take planes away. right now if you want an upgrade and have the time all you have to do is bid for it and you will get it.
