None of the "major issues" have even been discussed yet. Compensation and scheduling are being held until the very end. Discipline has been looked at, but no real progress made. Most of the TA'd sections are small things like Hostage Benefits, Workman's Comp, etc... Expect another 2 years until we either have a TA or an impasse.

 I believe that we put the FEAR of GOD into them on the 19th! Hopefully this will speed things along and let them know that WE MEAN BUSINESS!! No less than 100% Backpay BABY!!!!!!OR we burn this MOTHA DOWN!!!!!

9E will not get a new contract hammered out for at least 2+ years. Mark my words. It will be a slooooooooooow negotiating process and a substandard T/A will finally go to vote to the pilot group. The substandard T/A will pass by close to a 60/40 split. The juniour pilots (especially the 'streamers) will cave in and will be the majority of those to vote "yes". Can't say this prediction will absolutely pan out this way, but I think the handwriting is on the wall. The company will continue to SUCK as long as the un-derhanded, un-ethical, un-pilot friendly managemnt stays in postion!!!!!!!!

Well, pack it up boys. Miss Cleo has spoken! No need to work hard to get that good TA. Us "'streamers" are just going to cave anyway. I don't know where you get the idea that the 'streamers are going to be the problem. The problem is the senior group down in MEM that is just happy getting paid $80k and don't want to rock the boat. The GIA guys are actually the most militant. We've been sitting waiting for upgrade for 2-3 years now making the lowest CRJ FO pay in the industry. I'm just starting 4th year FO pay this month and I'll still be making less than 2nd year Comair FO pay. Believe me, we'll be the ones pushing for the good TA.

It's a very delicate issue at this point. I'm one of the more millitant, but I also understand that we're up against a plethora of problems.

Senior Pilots happy with their current QOL with 15-16 days off plus and $80k a year income.
Junior pilots begging for an upgrade knowing no growth will happen with a superior contract.
Northwest hovering over us waiting to yank our ASA in 2007 when it comes up for renegotiation.
Threats of a 2nd alter-ego certificate starting up.

I wouldn't be surprised if we were handed a T.A. at the end of the year and basically told we can wait another year and only get 3-5% more than the company is currently offering.

We keep hearing "fast bargaining process" and "interest-based bargaining". I take that to mean both sides are interested in a speedy outcome.

I give it 50/50 that we'll be handed something sub-standard around Christmas and told, "Sign, or be prepared to go on strike for very little gain." and "If you don't sign now, we'll be in a worse bargaining position in a year".

I'll be voting "NO", unless it's d*mn good (and I'm sure it won't be if what I believe comes to pass), but God this industry sucks. *sigh* :(

This month was supposed to be GoJet bashing but I know where this thread is going...........
No, it's not. Public hearings on 3701 and MKE crashes on 13-Jun.

Stay tuned for the bashing later this month...

Is the MKE crash going to be discussed at the hearing also? I thought it was just 3701.

PCL128............Whatever dude!!!!!!!!!
Half the problem at Pinnacle is the pilots from gulfstream. Their arrogant attitudes and the fact they are "so happy" to be flying something bigger than a 1900!! Plus..............THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are practically creaming in their jeans!! They are just happy to be building jet time. With more than half the pilot group being hired at 9E in the last 2 years (more than 600 pilots on an 1200 pilot seniority list), trust me these boys and gals will sell out!! Not a doubt in my mind..........I don't need Miss Cleo's insight!!!! I am not only talking about the g'streamers, just the junior pilots in general. I guarantee it! MISS CLEO HAS SPOKEN, BEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCHEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I since some real bitterness here. I was just asking a simple question.... I just joined this website hoping for some insight on the contract negotiations. I know ol pinchnickle isn't the best regional out there but I think things will get better...I don't think they can get any worse. Hows that for some positive insight?

Boy you are an optimist. Same people, flyin the same aircraft, in the same way......ya, I think things can get worse....it's just a matter of time.

It looks like a 3701 hearing only. No MKE incident topics.

http://www.ntsb.gov/events/hearing_sched.htm

Those meetings are sometimes referred to as "sunshine meetings". The stated purpose is to present data, studies and findings in a public forum. These meetings also allow the general public to see the NTSB at work, which can be important come budget time. These meetings can sometimes run several days and are usually held near the accident site.
