so close!!

I updated my logbook today after I returned from a weekend trip and that is the total time. 999.9. What are the chances?! Now I have to wait till tomorrow to get my fourth digit. Aaaahhhhhhrrrrrrrrggggg!

ps: I know this is no big deal to many of you out there, but try to remember what it was like when you got your first thousand hours.

When you fly that tenth, you'll owe a case of beer. Not that that's a bad thing.

I remember when I hit my first thousand. I went up to my chief flight instructor and showed him.

He said, "Good for you. Now do it again."

...and again...and again...
That's good advice.
At the rate I'm flying now, that will be another 3 years for the next grand.

And btw Rogue5, MXC is quite possibly the best show on television! The "Rotating Surfboard of Death" is one of my personal favorites.

Uh...you sure you're not confusing 1,000 hours with 1,000 jumps? :D In any case, it's all good!

I remember when I was about to log my 1000th hour. I was standing on a lonely airstrip out in the desert one evening waiting for my pax, when I noticed a black raven circling real low over my head, I thought to myself "I hope that is not some omen of things to come" but just shrugged it off. I then turned around and promptly walked into the hanger beam that supports the door!!
Anyway I flew that last :30 home with a nice bruise on my noggin.

Be careful out there!!

In .1 congrats on the first thousand.

Also Sinkers and Floaters and Log Jam IMHO ranks along with Rotating Surfboard of Death.

and I've reached the promised land...or not. But I've reached 1000 hrs! 1001.1 to be exact.

You didn't hit 1,000.0 even? Well....then you missed out on SO MUCH you'll never know about. :D
