Questions for Hawker 800XP guys/gals. Thoughts on flying from Shannon to Bangor? Customs, etc. Would the better flight be a stop in Gandor?

EINN to KBGR is fine, if you can make it. With it being 2,350nm great circle, it may be a bit tight on range.

If you don't have winglets (and maybe even if you do), it's quite likely that you will need to do the trip at LRC, even if the winds aren't strong. Flying around at Mach .70 at FL360 or FL380 may not even be possible due to conflicting traffic, so you may be kept low, in which case making it to KBGR probably won't happen.

I'd think about going EINN to CYQX, which is only 1,720 nm and could be done easily at Mach .75.

Here's a flight plan I'd previously run for Shannon-Gander @ HSC in an API-equipped 800XP...notice the relatively light winds:

Flt plan: einn/cyqx mach:hsc a/c: Hs800xpw /h25b rc
org einn dest cyqx

dest cyqx 007025 04.17 ------ 027576 020671 m011

Thanks spxdriver. If we stop in CYQX it would only be for fuel. Can you tell me about customs, advance notice, etc? Thanks again.

Einn - kbgr

Clearing customs in KBGR is quick, easy and convenient. EINN, on the other hand, is a terrible experience. Route your flight considering what I've just said.
