Very interesting. I'm sure some Boeing folks have steam coming out of their ears looking at slides marked "Boeing Proprietary" in the midst of an Airbus presentation.
The funny thing is, the guy who put together the presentation knew that those Boeing Proprietary slides had sh!tstorm potential, but he was so proud of his litle espionage operation he couldn't help himself and included the raw slide. Hilarious.
ACL65 - True ... The 777 was / is such a well run program.
Some of the problems with the 787's composites and new systems had to be known ahead of time, so, why outsource the work to a company without engineering staff? Seems like in their effort to outsource labor, Boeing has out itself at risk for work stoppages anywhere in the manufacturing industry. Italians strike? They are famous for labor disputes.
Also, why outsource hot new manufacturing technology to your competitors?
Another Delta ship, 612DL, went to VCV today None of the replacement jets seem to be working out. The 737 is a fine airplane, but it isn't a 757.
