FWD pit is also always pressurized. The switch controls outflow of bleed air at the Cargo Heat Outflow Valve, which affects the temperature there, not the pressure.

In another case, Viet ramper fell asleep in the aft pit in SMF, MX came by and closed the door, the ramper pounded his fists raw on the door, but no one could hear him. He rode three legs to PDX, SEA, & GEG(quick turns), and because the postal ground crews "knew" the aft pit was empty, and at each stop, contrary to procedure, they did not open all doors. Ramper got a free ride home in the cockpit to his firing(it was his third "offense").
