Probably when WN pilots are no longer the highest paid in the industry or when WN is no longer the most stable job in the industry.Nice big jet .... I think I'll buy myself a job!!!
When will it end!

Yep... XJT would never make its pilots pay for training. Oh, wait... they already did it.
When did we start flying to Ceder Rapids? Cool, another city. Thanks for keeping us informed.
Personally, I can't imagine flying the same airplane to the same destinations for 30 years (well 35, if you guys are successful at raising the retirement age!) This must be one of those "to each his own" things.{quote}
yeah, because going to school for 2-3 months at a time to learn a new airframe is just such a blast.uke: Aren't they all just metal tubes anyway? If you dig saying "heavy" on the radio & doing twelve hour legs.....I guess that's one of those " to each his own" things too.
Ah... but at the end of the flight is Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, Honolulu, Paris, London, Cologne, Vienna, Madrid, etc...![]()
Let's see... at the end of a typical SWA pilot's day he's at another Holiday Inn in Lubbock, Midland, Birmingham, Oakland, Midway, Ontario, etc... :bawling:
To each his own I guess.![]()
BBB
Sounds like a hoot.............flying for 12+hours while shooting your watch, jet-lagged, trying to figure out how to dial the states, missing 2 weeks of your kids life at a time while you enjoy such exotic destinations. Yuk!!!! I am sure for you military types learning a new airplane is fun, but not having to learn anything new for 30 years sounds nice. Boeings smallest plane has been largely unsuccessful right? Every FedEx/UPS pilot gets 20 days off, one round trip to Eurpoe with a 72 hour layover a week right?? lol. Yall dont take the 727 to such exotic destinations as Boise, etc for a fun-filled 2day layover ever? To each his own. You chose Cargo, fine. I bet the second you show-up to a social event within 90seconds of you showing up EVERYONE knows that BBB drives a corvette, has a huge house, wife with bolt-ons, flys a heavy, just got back from Europe, and went to the AirForce Academy (Zoo). correct? Might wanna go write your name on your kids forehead so they remember it.
BBB,
Sorry you got a late start on seeing the rest of the world. ... I'd take Lubbock, TX over 99.9% of the rest of the world.
