737 headset

Hey folks,

Question for you 737 drivers: Consider getting the QC2/UFlyMike headset. How does it work out in the 737?

Do you use the rubber band intercom setup? If not, can you hear the other guy okey? With the UFlyMike addition do you get the sound in stereo (both ears) or just one side?

We only have the 300's so far but are getting NG's, is there a difference in the avionics setup on the NG (intercom) or the same as the 300?

How about the Airbus 320, will the same plugs work there as in the 737 (QC2 with UFlyMike)?

Finally, anyone use a single earpiece Plantronics? What's your experience?

i use the lightspeed mach 1 in both the classics and the ngs. works great can hear very well and can still hear the guy in the left seat say airspeed over and over. don't know about the bus but both ng and clasic have the same audio panel and mine come in stereo but then again i have a mono / stereo switch that allows me to hear out of both ears no matter what. one earpiecs seems to be hard to hear well if you need to pay attenion and you are going 320kts. ask who you fly with what they like. i see alot of telex and they seem to be ok as well.

I use the Telex 850. Very nice and quiet. You can pull one ear piece off your ear if you need to listen to the other guy,

ms 200 plantronics

The ms200 plantronics headset works great in the 737NG. I have been using mine for a year now and love it. It is a single ear piece design, good sound quality, noise cancelling mike boom and comfortable.
