question for you B737-400/NG drivers....
when setting the final approach speed, is there an additive for "steady" wind besides the Vref+5? 1/2 steady state pluse full gust not to exceed 20 kts is for gusts only, correct? For example... for winds 160@30 kts. (no gust), do you add 15 kts. to Vref or do you just fly Vref+5?

Boeing recommends Vref + ½ steady headwind component for manual throttles and no wind correction for auto throttles.
In your example assuming RWY 16 it would be Vref + 15 = command speed for manual throttles and just Vref+5 when using auto throttle but many pilots will from experience use wind additives also when using auto throttle.
