**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**...your lucky day

I just happened to bring my flight bag to the hotel so I can look up the answers and not guess...I've forgotten most of the -200 stuff.

Max flap operating and extended speeds, 727-200
2=245
5=230
15=205
25=185
30=185
40=175
Max speed for LED's=245

I hope you win that beer....

I know I'll catch flame for this one but....I just can't resist. Flap speed has to be stick shaker speed for any ATA plane. I can't count the number of times us old frieght dogs had the hammer down going into MDW in the early am only to be told to slow down mostly because some ATA 757 driver is obviously getting paid by the hour. Ok, nomex suit and welding goggles on. I just couldn't help myself.

Do I sense a bit of jealousy?

Great, another little freight guy with a big mouth. You know in my time reading hundreds of posts here, I have never seen a major, regional, or corporate guy just start crapping on someone elses operation, but this is like the third time I've seen a little freight guy starting crap. It's guys like you and posts like this that give the little freight world a bad name. I'm not bashing what you do, I admire how hard you guys work and understand the difficult conditions, but please keep the smart a$$ comments to yourself.
Regards,

Moose,

Lighten up guy. Jealous, not in the least bit. Matter of fact I no longer fly for a "little frieght company", I'm back to being an attorney for a living. I know the ATA pilots are following thier rule book to the letter. I am giving them a hard time because after 6 legs and 6.5 hours with one more leg and one more hour to go the last thing I wanted to do is get behind ATA coming into MDW. It's a tired thing not a jealous thing. I guess you should flame ATC for giving ATA a hard time for "pulling out the boat anchor" or "flying out over the lake before turning final" over the radio. At least I give them a good hearted ribbing on an aviation board rather than over the radio.

I am not slamming ATA's operation. In fact I think they are a great "little airline", great planes, good location and good product for the flying public they just are not in a hurry to get on the ground. Please check your temps they are in the red.

Legal Eagle

Sounds like a good legal explanation.........blah blah blah. P.S. my brake temps are in the green.

Does the short RWY have anything to do with the slow approach speed?

New Rule

I think there ought to be a new rule, that you can't have more postings than flight hours. Keep work'n it Alaskaaaaa.;) ;)
