Can someone who actually flies a 605, please give us your real number on transatlantic crossings.

Range
Speed
Altitudes
Weights

Thanks very much. The website posts .82 for 4000nm, I tend to think that's not "real". Maybe one or the other but not both, at least not with four pax and baggage.

No to get that range out of it you will be at LRC starting around .76 back to .74. And you will be step climbing the whole way starting at 350.

With the wind at your back, [email protected] is more realistic. Maybe [email protected]. With the wind in your face it's more like a 3000nm airplane @.80.

Don't plan on going above FL350 if you're heavy, and you will be.

You'll need at least 6500' of runway at MTOW at sea level, and you'll probably be at MTOW with full fuel and 1 or 2 pax + baggage.

Our 605 international BOW is 27.3 and change so we have close to a 1,000 pound payload at full fuel. Seems like the sweet spot is .77 for long legs unless you are way back to LRC. We can usually go right to 36-37,000 and step climb from there. Negatives: (handling, runway #s, cruise altitudes just OK) Pluses: (very reliable, range, good avianics (PL21), big cockpit, solid airplane, etc).
Good luck-

Yes, BV is correct in his assessment to answer your real question....

Is it much of an improvement over the 604 in terms of performance?

Same engines, same wing, same fuel tanks, same performance.
Buy a used 604 and save about $20mil.

There are some really good deals on late model 604s. Probably pick up a low time well equipped one for 7-8 million nowdays.
