Regarding the 121 time, the last 3M pilot I spoke with actually came from Comair. No kidding. Granted he flew for the Marines first but he did in fact have a 121 background.

The department has a very strong culture. If your background, personality, skills, or anything else about you does not fit their culture stop dreaming and move on. ;)

Add scratch golfer to the list of quals... the 3M pilots regularly spank all of the other corporate pilots at the Minnesota Corporate Pilots golf outing.

Oh, I have no doubt!

Typical New Hires=

115-130K DOE
4.5 weeks VAC
12 days/month average
8 RONs/ month average
80% INTL

But really, this is the type of info thats helpful...

Anyone know how many aircraft / pilots they have?

Are they on pagers? Or do they typically get a roster?
I like the golfing idea, although, don't most pilots suck at golf?

G5/550 pilots at 3M.....thats not the best pay scale by far that I've seen. Do they get stock options every year to make up for the low pay?

Being a former employee of 3m ( sales ) I can tell you the Medical benefits are outstanding..worth about $1500 a month for cobra. They also have a great pension, an employee stock purchase plan, and a matching 401k. Need I say more.
Now add those benefits to the yearly salary and you find its a great paying job!

Last I heard, the next retirement is in 8 years..
Good Luck!
