Well ya Im saying that if another comes with my luck I will miss it.

Look, you only have one year of school left. Get your CFI right now and start instructing during your senior year. That way you will be much more marketable when you finish.

why don't you use the management degree so that you could get a job on the other side of the fence. You could be the one getting insane bonuses while us pilots are getting furloughed..... i wish i'd done that...

Oh Geezus, go get a freight job for a lil while. Scare the crap outta yourself a couple of times. That will cool your ego a bit. At 300 hours..you don't know crap about flying..much less about flying 50 people around. You will be much better off..imho

Finish your degree, like everybody else said. Then CFI or freight for a while. Or if you want a little adventure, check out Beech 1900 FO jobs out in Africa, that would be interesting on the resume. Good luck, but stay humble about your experience. There's always someone better and more experienced than you.

Maybe he actually has a soul.

HA HA HA HA. You're considering dropping out of college for a potential job at a Regional Airline???? Seriosuly???????? HA HA HA HA.

Stay in school. You're probably in your early 20's and uptight about missing a so called "hiring wave"?

If you seriously want into this profession, you'll get in and over your 35-40 year career will go through probably 5 different airlines, 3 or 4 furloughs and watch the erosion of pay, benefits and overall QOL. Why the rush? ;)

just curious why they are hiring street CAs? Dont they have FOs with time?

Not totally sure, but I think they only have about 4 or 5 1900s left and the QOL on the 1900 is gonna be pretty bad until the last one is off property. From what I've heard most FOs with the time are going to the Saab or the Q400 instead of riding the sinking ship that is the 1900 at Colgan.

1. GET YOUR DEGREE!!!!
2. Build experience somehow
3. Apply to airlines when you have said experience.

if you are looking at a regional job to pay bills....you are barking up the wrong tree. Try paying bills, rent, student loans, car payments, cell phone, insurance, food and gas on F.O pay. good luck.

There wont be another big hiring wave between now and the time you graduate... Get it done and you'll be 500 times more marketable for airline jobs...

5 Step Process

Step 1: Remove Commercial Pilot certificate from wallet

Step 2: Apply liberal amounts of top grade lighter fluid

Step 3: Light a match

Step 4: Burn the f'ing thing to a blackened molten blob

Step 5: Get your MBA

Step 5: Get your MBA

Better to just get his law degree and become a stereotypical ambulance chaser. Even they have more integrity than a rotten MBA jackass.

I'll try not to take that personally...FYI...90% of my classmates were fine people and the 30% that remain my close friends would embarrass you with their generosity, good will, and intelligence.

That being said, if you would like to make it personal, take your best shot. In my experience the only people who take shots at men and women with educations, are those without.

Geez, take an English class before you go out into the world.

embarrassing

Try Spirit. They hired a few 250 hour pilots about 6 months ago. You can skip the regional level, fly an Airbus, and tell the captains how you are better than them.

I am by no means saying I'm some super pilot hell I have like 250 hours thats nothing. I definetly will not stay and get an MBA don't have the brains or will power to do that. The only reason I'm doing the management degree is so that it will look good on a resume. I'm sorry but Ill take crap pay as a regional f/o instead of going to an office building every day regardless of what pay may be money can't buy true happiness in my opinion.

Take the first regional job you can get. I got on with MESA with right about your time after going through their APDP. Now I'm at SkyWest which is the best regional in the world.... Do whatever you can to get on with any carrier that will take you. Don't listen to these guys who had to go the hard way...make it as easy as possible for yourself. Thats what I did and I'm getting ready to upgrade at the worlds best regional!!!!

I think I'm going to hurl. :puke:

Take whatever regional job you can get. Drop out of school. There are a lot of ways to finish your 4 year degree online while you are building seniority. It is most likely cheaper as well. Get a cheap laptop and start working.
