I'm convinced that if we could legally charge a $5 wheelchair maintenance fee we'd see half the numbers we see right now.

Ha. Had a young lady in a neck brace ask for my seat so she could sit beside her boyfriend. I took her seat in the back next to her parents and found out she was "faking it to get sympathy so someone would change seats with her." Sure enough, FA said the collar came off as soon as we pushed back. Glad the parents were teaching their daughter valuable lessons in living an ethical life. She's certain to go far in an "everyone acts in their own self-interest" economy.

Back at the height of the Swine Flu outbreak we had a couple saying that no one could sit between them on a full flight because the husband had the Swine Flu and the wife had already been exposed. After the FA got together they kicked them both off the flight. While they were being escorted out the wife said they were faking. Whoops!! I hope it was worth it.

I worked at PBI a loooonng time ago while getting my ratings, and we used to have to line the wheelchairs up in the jetway and have the others sitting right by the door in the seats. The Skycaps would have to shuttle them in since we ran out of wheelchairs. The L1011 to BOS and LGA (dating myself) were the worst. Somemtimes like 75 people asking for chairs. I sure dont miss those days working the counter and gates.

57 in Sarasota, FL back in 2007. And that was with an 86 seat E-175. Guess it is that time of the year. Its getting cold and they go south.

"welcome to heaven's waiting room"

But with some of the attitudes they have, some of them will be heading "further south" shortly!

That was the other thing. We shipped out a lot of HR's (Human Remains). Florida's second biggest export besides oranges
