After the failures at the FAA, AmTrack, the Post Office, and pretty much every other government screwup, it amazes me that some people think that the government is a solution to problems such as, oh, say, healthcare?

Because they are idiots...

The only thing .govs are good at is maintaing massive militaries to destroy other .govs and jailing its citizens.

Beyond this, nothing the .gov has ever touched sans the Moon Missions have been even remotely close to successful.

Wait a minute there buddy! NBC, ABC, CBS and MSNBC all told me that bigger government is better! I vote how my television tells me. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go cash this government check and watch Divorce Court.

WHAT??? Yes they are idiots, but what about the ATC system, GPS, the interstates, the space program, the airports they build, the navaids you and I use, etc, etc, etc, the certifcation of the aircraft we fly so they don't crash every other flight???? Isn't that all good stuff the government does?

Most all of that has more military application than most will want to admit to... much like the US Highway and Railway Systems.

But the FAA is far from anything even remotely close to efficient... they waste money just as fast as the Dept of Ed-u-mah-schration or the Dept of Redundancy Department...

xenophobia is alive and well in America.... this ladies and gentleman is our "Security" .. a baby is now a terrorist.

Items like this are proof, that with our help, the terrorists' strategy is succeeding.

It's also MORE proof that the TSA is a freaking joke!

Family of toddler want apology for no-fly mistake

(05-11) 09:47 PDT MIAMI (AP) -- Mark Lennihan / AP

A spokesman for the family of an 18-month-old girl who was pulled off a flight because airline employees thought her name was on the U.S. no-fly list says the girl's parents do not plan to take any legal action.

Rick Abbott told The Associated Press Friday that the family is looking for an apology or an explanation from JetBlue, which blamed the problem on a computer glitch.

An airline employee boarded the Newark, N.J.-bound flight before it departed Tuesday evening from Fort Lauderdale, telling the family their toddler was on the federal list that includes thousands of known or suspected terrorists.

JetBlue says employees were following proper protocol. The U.S. Transportation Security Administration says the girl never was flagged by the agency.

He said... she said.... sigh..

Kudos for the parents not hiring a lawyer..

They should get a lawyer....The Death of Common Sense should no got unchallenged! Salam!

Yeah, sue everybody for anything. It's the American way. Good grief.

It's all a Corporation can understand! Right and wrong are irrelevant unless a punitive dollar sign is attached! Its the Management Way! These people are suffering from the "everyone is a threat, everything is a threat" Mentality for the Soduku Commandos at TSA and the Companies that have to make sense of the BS. Inflict the pain, enjoy the gain! THATS THE AMERICAN WAY!
