Need advice on pay as I have not done 135 for a long time other than part time. Just interviewed for a Lear 31 job and the pay was $42,000 per year and seemed low to me,is this in the ball park. Also only 5 days off per month. Thanks,Mobs

Which seat

PIC or SIC? Where in the Country? New York area or Podunk OK?

If you do have 30,000 hours and have flown A330s and 767s...

how could you accept anything less than a 6 digit income?

I'm just wondering

How could I? Well I turn 60 in July and after 38 yrs. of airline flying and flying on the side for some great people I do not want to get out of flying. I started flying as a job when I was 18 and the only other job was as a life guard so not much choice.

Too LOW!!!

Mobs,
42 grand is way to low for a Captain, especially if you only get five scheduled days off a month. If this job is in Florida then it is even lower. I used to live in Florida and I would estimate average Lear PIC pay at about 60 grand a year. The rest of the Southeast does seem to pay less than the rest of the country but I have to say that number is almost insulting. (JMHO)
