Thought I would start a post to see how other 135 companies are doing. After a very slow start to 2003, things seem to be picking up here in the midwest. Jet market seems to be doing OK, TP and piston picking up a little more.
In the Mid West with the auto build out, you will always see an pick up in 135 cargo ops in June. But this June is way below any other June for the last five years, August September activity will tell if there is any up turn coming.
Air taxi is kinda slow in the Rockies. Advance bookings way down, compared to summers previous (4 or 5 before). Regular clients still making the steady trips, but everything else is slow. Hopefully summer will pick up by August.
It's been very slow in the summer months in the Southeast/mid-atlantic.
Everybody must be on vacation. Those seem to be about the only kind of trips that do come up these days. Usually the fall gets back to biz flying.
Textiles and Manufacturing have suffered greatly, lost some customer base over the last few years. 5-10 clients in the region have FO or Netjet deals now and climbing.
Up in the northeast we are pretty busy. Where we used to have trips booked a week in advance, now we book about 1-2 days in advance. The piston market still is slow, but everyone still needs to get out to the Hamptons and Cape Cod
