Looks like the A,B and C King Air 90's can be had for anywhere between $200,000 and $2,000,000. If you wanted to put one on a 135 certificate what kind of cost range are you generally looking at to make it 135 certified, even if you bought one for around $300,000?
Don't know the cost...but you need to check on calendar time limits on all components. Even if the engines only have 1,000 hours on them, if they are outside the time limits the need to be overhauled. I did this with piston twins - not turboprops - and it wasn't too bad.
Do you already have a certificate available, or do you have to start from scratch? Plan on 6 months plus if you are starting from scratch - and probably at least three months if you already have a certificate with King Air's.
Oh, and don't forget insurance. Mine quadrupled when I went from Part 91 only to Part 135. Yup, quadrupled: 400% increase.
