I know that every time you sucessfully complete a part 61 or 141 check ride or flight test, it resets the 24 month cycle for a flight review. If you pass a 135 check ride, does this also start a new 24 months for your flight review? How about the 6 month checks you get from a 135 company, do they also reset the 24 month cycle? Is it the same for 121?

Thanks

Both 135 and 121 proficiency checks count as flight reviews and instrument checks. So if all you log in your log book is a 135 or 121 checkout and 3 landings every three months you are legal to fly. Thats assuming your landings are at night to a full stop in the same category and class and type if required.

Proficiency Checks v. BFRs and ICCs

I agree. Your BFR's 24-month cycle is reset every time you take a 121 or 135 ride. Your ICC is reset for the next six months.

Makes sense. After all, isn't a 121 or 135 ride basically a stringent ICC?

Be sure to keep copies of your 135 letters to have on hand for future interview(s).
