Quote the section in the contract then because it is super grey.

I spoke with the contract people at ALPA and they told me that it doesnt apply when a new hire is activated in a seat you have a bid in for. I'm supposing there will be a side letter issued that addresses this if the company decides to seat lock all Boeing SO's and FO's till the "big bid" clears out.

I couldnt find it in the contract and that's why I called them for clarification. It's still about as clear as mud to me though.
 
Just to clarify.... passover pay applies to same aircraft type, same seat, and same domicile. So if newbies go to ANC MD-11 and you would hold MEM MD-11, that doesn't count.
