"We're not gonna take it.............NO.....we aint gonna take it......we're not gonna take it................anymoreeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Had to get in a post before midnight and about 20 people post all at once. Been a fun thread to check in on from time to time and even get a count in if I happened to be up at 1am EST. Look forward to seeing some movement hopefully start up here soon!

i flew with one that retired 4 days ago. his birthday is 12-14-12. He wasn't happy about it. He said "I don't have any hobby's too expensive. Sitting in this seat is my hobby."

My only reply was "This is my career. I suggest you find a new hobby."

Clock can't tick down fast enough

Sad, your job isn't supposed to be your whole life. Many hobbies are cheap or free, if he doesn't have any money after years of this job I suspect he has made some bad choices. Oh well, he got five extra years he had no expectation of getting when he started and he benefited from all the pilots above him who left at 60....too bad so sad.

So happy to have been a small part of this thread. I think its been over a year since I got a countdown day in.

So, what are we going to do when the GeezerMeter has...expired?

Oh, and for our bi-lingual friends:

MANANA

By the way, in case any of you may have missed it, I have said repeatedly over the three year duration of this thread that the Fed should have taken the age 65 extension as an opportunity to impose a mandatory age restriction on ALL compensated flying.

A Learjet that crashed Monday in Mexico killing a Mexican-American pop star and several others was being flown by a pilot who was SEVENTY-EIGHT years old. We don't yet know the cause or circumstance of the accident. But to me, that is WAY too freaking old to be flying a jet for hire. Period.

Resume countdown.
