Adverse Posession

Damn!

Lost control of my own property. Kind of like eminent domain.

You must be from the gub'mint or som'tin.....

I like how this thread is going like every single Age 60+ guy is just going to tank out in 4 days from now. There's hardly any retirements this month, and very little in 2013. We'll see what happens a few years from now, but in aviation anything more than a year from now is like a lifetime away.

5 years seemed like a lifetime away. That "lifetime" ends in 3ish days.

In three days, the beginning of something new happens: Movement and change.

We only lose 15 in Dec. It's a start. You can't walk a mile without taking the first step.

My airline retires 12 guys this month. We had one guy make it by 3 hours. He retires in thrrrrrr. Well less than 4 days :) Might not sound like much, but for 12 guys that will upgrade, swith planes, or get off reserve its enough guys.

Ok, but at SWA, aren't many pilots looking at a 15-20 year upgrade, even with retirements?

The jury is out. There are new upgrades that have been here 10yrs going to OAK. Lots of guys passing it up because of the AirTran folks comming in above them and causing WestCoast Jr Capt stagnation.

I am anticipating a 12ish year upgrade.

For a lot of us, it's not about the left seat. It is about a better quality of life any way we can get it. A Saturday off, a Birthday off, a Anniversary off, etc.
