.125 psid?????? Help!

.125 is a specific aircraft restriction... as you can see it exists on the 737 various aircrafts have various requirements. Bottom line - min. pressurization in the event of a ground egress.

I think you meant MAX PSID on the ground....

Pretty sure the F-28, Dc-9 and the 747 (classic anyway) do not pressurize at all on the ground.

Not just the pressure bump either, alot of structural rigidity gain from pre-pressurizing the fuselage.

The outflow valve starts closing on the DC9 when you advance thrust levers to set TO power.
