I just listened to the latest hotline message. The (sarcasm deleted) union boss seemed pleased to informed me of the success of the latest guilt trip campaign. I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

If you're drawing a regular paycheck, the world probably has a very rosy tint. There are ABX pilots who have been on furlough for as long as 268 days as of today. They see the $75 million pledge from DHL just sitting there while they are struggling with the problems associated with losing their jobs.

Astar pilots have managed to receive their severance pay.

Before you give me all your self riteous "what are doing" BS, I'll tell you right now that I'm doing what I have to do to try to make ends meet.

I'm just saying, before they go patting themselves on the back too much.....

What law allows ABX to keep the severance money?

The good news is that ABX doesn't have the severance money. The bad news is that DHL has it and won't release it until the company and union agree how to divide it up. The worst news is that hete wants most of it to erase his liabilities and not give it to the pilots.
