Line check once a year (my company's training regiment), in the aircraft that you are currently flying. Some airlines I believe require one every six months.
Once per year for a Line Ck is the what the regs require, a company can put in its manual anything wants as long as it meets the FAR minimum. Now for a PC you must have a check every 6 mo, or training in place of one check.
To answer the question which was actually asked: No, you do not have to have a line check in *each* type aircraft, just in one of them. However, PIC qualification in more than one type is relatively uncommon in the 121 world.
§121.440 Line checks.

person has passed a line check in which he satisfactorily performs the duties and responsibilities of a pilot in command in one of the types of airplanes he is to fly.
