Well, I reached my 1000th post with this message!

I want everyone to know that I appreciate the ability to post on this forum and help if I can. It has been an insightful 14 months. I have seen so many lives changed because of the help that the pilot community provides to their fellow aviators. I also want to thank those members that have entrusted their careers to me. I always feel good when someone PMs me to ask for help with a situation. I may not always have the answer, but I will try to find it! :)

I also appreciate the pilots that have come through PHX that I have met, and the group that got together in DEN. If anyone is coming through PHX, give me enough notice and I can come pick you up and go out to lunch or dinner.

There really is no board like this that has such a loyal following. Thank you all for embracing me and putting up with the pictures of my little angel. :)

Kathy

I'll second what Kathy said......there really is no other board like this one! Whether it's old ASA co-workers, or just new people that I meet; this board has been always been a great place to look for answers, get a laugh, or even waste a few hours (especially 'Keep it Going..' at two in the morning! ;) )

Thanks everyone! :D

And Kathy...there's no putting up with anything, your daughter's a doll! :)

Congrat Kathy!

And to think I recommended you not join, due to my concerns you'd be shocked at the behavior here - you fit in just fine! ;)

Kathy

It sure beats that little old room on AOL, huh?

Get that ugly racecar off your Avatar off there and put my little girl back up! :)

I am taking that as a compliment! :)

Happy 1,000th Kathy...you are now officially "gold wing" exempt...but if I am not mistaken, you still owe beers for your posts that were 'oo' (like 100th, 200th, 300th) and any posts that were "firsts". Rules are rules... :D

Thanks! I tell you though, she will be two on the 14th of May, and she is definitely TWO!

Today, she kept taking off her diaper, picking up the phone and dialing numbers, trying to send faxes, pulling the cat's tail, climbing on the fireplace up to the arm of the chair so she could jump off onto the seat cushion; shall I go on? Thank goodness I am changing babysitters, as I am not sure what the other kids are teaching her at the current location!!

Even when you tell her no, she gets this defiant look in her eye as if she is daring you to stop her and goes on with the behavior unless I am quick enough to catch her!!

Sure, but you have to come to PHX to collect!

MUCH better :) .

Are you and Sqwk saying that you do not like my boy, Kasey Kahne?

BTW, I am an official NASCAR chick now. I put #9 on the back of my truck window! :D Now, I just need that #9 flag to hang by my garage on race days to be complete like my neighbors!

Kathy

:D BTW FNFAL, my son LOVES the picture of the dog! That dog just looks like he wants someone to throw him a ball!! Is it your dog?

We call our mutt "Air Max" because from a sitting position he can jump about 6 feet straight up! Always scares my friends. In fact, the neighbor was putting a clothes line up because her dryer is broken. She went to loop the line around the common block fence and he jumped up and got her knuckle!!

I wish it was my dog, but is not. Because we live in apartments, a dog is just not feasable. I know that if we got a dog, he'd/she'd be just like the one in the avatar...fun loving and ready to chase the ball! :D

I have had the pleasure of being partnered with a dog in the past. A girlfriend and I picked one out at the pound. It was a sheltie/retriever mix...that dog was a hoot. Well behaved and well loved. I'd love to have a dog again...just not capable right now.

I think the sprint cars is why I am a fan of Kahne. I have friends that race them and know the talent it takes to keep them right-side-up.

That is so nice that you remember all the pics of Katelyn, Sqwk! I will get some more taken when she is doing something cute again!

My family used to own a 360 sprinter in South Dakota --back before the IMCA craze hit and we were allowed to run a full-sized wing-- and I was a crew chief on a WoO class 410 sprinter when I was in college. I share your respect for the talent it takes to be a good shoe in a sprinter.

About your daughter's pics...it's not that I have a good memory, it's just that those pics are pretty unforgetable. :)
