Hi,

Let's say an aircraft's 100 hour inspection is due at 1500 hours.

The mechanic takes the plane down at 1495 and completes the 100 hour inspection.

When is the next 100 hour inspection due?

1600 or 1595?

Where's the regulation on this?

Thanks,

Jim

Notice that it's a "look-back" reg. On the day the aircraft is flown in an operation that requires 100 hour inspections, it had to have been done in the previous 100 hours.

So, in your scenario, suppose the airplane is being flown at 1697 hours and the inspection was actually done at 1595. Has it been inspected in the previous 100 hours?
