At the very least they should be turned off when there is another airplane holding short across the runway. I have seen pilots at multiple airports insist on keeping their taxi lights on while holding short at night despite facing the cockpit of another plane sitting across the runway.
It was. The stupid thing is the poster OUTED HIMSELF on another thread earlier this year. Why delete posts now that reference the felony and the person?
What I got out of the article is you can get a plane that has large cabin length, with less width and height (even with a dropped floor) than a Gulfstream but more baggage space, for a midsize aircraft price and range. It has the cruise speeds of a Citation (402 KTAS), can't climb that high...
John Q. Public doesn't understand the difference due to the horribly inaccurate reporting of the media. They, and Washington are too focused on the corporate plane image while ignoring the real issue, piss poor leadership at the top of these companies. These companies don't need to be...
With a $50 million bonus the money is gone forever and does nothing to help the company. A $50 million plane is a company asset and an investment where the money, at least a large portion of it, can be recovered later through a sale. Apples to oranges.
The instructors have all been really helpful, and will answer any questions you have rather quickly through email or the message board. As for difficulty of the classes, it really depends on the subject. Some are more interesting then others, so they will be easier to study for. A few classes...
I didn't refer to one being better then the other either. In response to the "original" question, 135 guys are probably hired on at a major just as often when you consider the percentage of 135 applicants in the resume stack versus other backgrounds. With fewer 135 guys applying comparatively...
Um, could the fact that airlines hire more 121 pilots be due to the fact that a very large majority of pilots at 121 carriers are trying to move up in or stay in 121? Many pilots who go to 135 do so to avoid the regionals and are actually looking to move onto corporate or fractional. In order...
I'm not sure about the other models, but with the 310R if you try landing with full flaps and are near the forward CG limit, the plane will have a hard time flaring and will land in more of a 3-point attitude. It is much easier to land the plane with 20 degrees of flaps or less with a far...
BushwickBill-
Why don't you just let this whole AirNet bitterness go? You do realize that your old posts can be found and viewed don't you? Here are a few that I found from the "Airnet hopefull" thread:
I looked up your previous posts to see what kind of attitude you've displayed...
I've had controllers give me vectors similar to that. If I catch it, I'll shallow the bank angle and stretch the turn out so I can modify the point at which I'll intercept the inbound course/localizer. It won't make a huge difference to the point where you will be out of any protected areas...
An American company outsources its jobs to foreign countries, reducing available jobs for U.S. workers. A foreign company outsources its jobs to the U.S. providing opportunities for U.S. workers. Which is better for our economy, the money that comes to the U.S. company or the money that goes...
I looked but didn't see anything. At first $30 seemed a bit high, but then I thought about Brian Terwilliger, the creater of the film, and how this was his first production (If I remember right) and the purpose this serves. At least your money isn't going to the usual big movie studios. I...

That is the first update I've seen in a couple of days. Thanks. I too knew one of those on board and have been looking for updates daily. I'll post anything new I find.
