My briefing to an FO is as follows: We always taxi with 2 engines unless shutting one down will help US out, we always take off flaps 20 and we always leave the APU on until 10,000 feet and start it coming thru 10,000 feet. That way we run as safe and inefficient an operation as possible. :D... -
