    Western Global Airlines

You have opened the door to adventure if you take this job. QOL and Africa don't really belong in the same sentence; few exceptions of course. you have a G V type rating? I would suggest following those leads before WG. Its just another Miami based POS airline. Good luck!

    UPS Airbus down in Birmingham

"The SOP is there so guys don't fly into the fuc{ing ground." The SOP is there so @$@#$%^&^% don't fly into the fuc{ing ground.

    Kalitta Air

My two billed muddy hen told me today, that we can expect one -400 basic boeing freighter by middle of Oct. the 2nd one will go through a C check first, probably online in November, and the ERF coming after the new year. Just sayin!

    Article on FAA Rest Rules

I'll keep this short. I never said the current rules should stay. God knows we need some new and better rules, but the same rules for all airlines is not the answer.

    Article on FAA Rest Rules

I've been in the non-sched world my whole career. Both PAX and cargo. While much of the flying is scheduled, much is not! One set of rules is not the answer! Supplemental carriers DO provide a service to the world that sched pax and cargo operations do not. We do need some new rules, but United...

Yay Atlas got a new contract..

does an "assignment" mean sitting in the five towns for 5 days ?

    Kalitta A300 ?

Possibly use them for the middle east deliveries into Afghanistan, Iraq and other vacation destinations. The -100 series B4's were JT-9 Pratt powered, and the classic 747's are pratt powered. same engines.

ETP - equal time point questions for Cargo ops.

ok, the thread title was "CARGO OPS" I'm not gonna play "who's hoo hoo is hotter"

ETP - equal time point questions for Cargo ops.

lets seperate a few things; ETOPS= extended TWIN engine OPS. those rules do not apply to 3 or 4 engine airplanes. ETP's (equal time point) for 3 or 4 engine airplanes are predicated on the loss of 2 (TWO) engines. If we shuck ONE, we can continue, if in our minds, its as safe or safer than...

AAI is operating the -400's with a "National" paintjob.

Inhofe offers two amendments to faa reauthorization

Under the guise of safety, one set of rules for everyone sounds good, but is not. You can build a bridge 5 different ways with different support structures for each, and have them all the same level and same strength. But you would not use the same structure for all places on the earth...

    Kalitta Air or Jet Blue

I'm a -400 captain, and flew 692 hours last year. You do the math; I've had too many Leffe Bruins

    Kalitta Air or Jet Blue

The non-sked freight business ain't for everyone. The people here seem to like it. We have guys furloughed from American that have no near plan to return. We have a lot of ATA guys here that like it. if you want to fly domesticly for the rest of your life, go ahead. If you want to see the world...

    Kalitta Air or Jet Blue

Kalitta has guys that quit to go to the Blue, and Blue quit to come here. Kalitta has several former guys that hate the Blue. So, Mr. 75 driver, don't be so hasty to ASSUME that the answer is so simple. It may be for you, but thank the easter bunny that everyone is not like you.

Evergreen pilots vote to authorize strike

If evergreen would go under because their pilots got a contract that paralelled the rest in their sector, they are doomed anyway. They need to whack the old man beside the head; stay firm. There is enough business out there that he will not walk away. He will cry and scream and threaten, he will...
