    SWA, Airline of the year

How is that a bad thing? These boards are full of people that left one airline for another. SWA isnt hiring right now, but why turn down a major offer just to wait for your number one choice that may never call? It's not screwing over an airline-- it's having the flexibility (finally) to make...

    SWA, Airline of the year

Any SWA guys recommend leaving a legacy like United for SWA? For those reasons... primarily stability? Time off? (Arent you're lines more productive?)

    Alaska or United?

Left out all those important details. Lives in SoCal... wants to move to either Seattle or Denver long term, could commute short term, no more than a year or two. No desire to fly int'l widebody, upgrade not important. Classes are within 2 weeks of each other.

    Alaska or United?

Offers from both, but really want to go to SWA? Ready..... go!

Stop the divisive SWA AAI stuff

Whoa! Did you get a flat tire on your golf cart while driving around PTC? Forget your super cool tug boat drover hat at the hotel? Spill chik-fil-sauce on your purdy horse jacket? Settle down captain happy. I guess 12 days gets you Saipan and Mumbai. My bad. Have a blast skipper. Wind check?

Stop the divisive SWA AAI stuff

Hey there are still guys out there that would turn down Delta for SWA. Enjoy your big jet to Lagos. I'll take a 737 to Amarillo then enjoy all my time off with family-- because what's most important, right? Nobody will give a $hit that you flew a wide body to Lagos when you die. They'll just...

    Southwest Window

Upgrade at a major shouldn't really be a concern. Who gives a $hit. SWA FOs make good money and have a great QOL. Why rot away in NYC on reserve flying the 717 to Boston and Miami with your dorky hat and double-breasted straight-jacket when you can relax on 150k/yr in DEN/PHX/etc.

    Compass or SkyWest

That's not entirely true actually. But, isn't that kind of the point? You asked a few posts ago what I had for pros regarding Compass. I told you. What's up eith all the defensive posts?

    Compass or SkyWest

I'm not trying to argue with you or saying one company is better than the other. Don't get me wrong, I hope all that happens to SkyWest. As far as Compass, what draws me is their movement. They have just over 500 pilots, and around 300-350 have flows to Delta at a rate of 120 pilots a year...

    Compass or SkyWest

300 firm, but they only have flying for 60, and the MRJ isn't even built yet. I'm sure their 50 seaters can make money, but what happens when DL/UA say they want most of their 50's removed from the fleet on the 76 seat lift has been given to other airlines like Mesa/Republic/etc.

    Compass or SkyWest

I agree, that guy came off a bit defensive and rude. But from what I've come to realize, the Skywest guys are the most proud of their airline. Don't get me wrong, I've wanted to go to Skywest since I was in high school. I never imagined I'd get called, let alone hired by Compass. I don't know of...

    Compass or SkyWest

Say you had a class date at Compass and an interview lined up with SkyWest. What would you choose if you eventually got a class at SkyWest as well? Bases weren't really an issue (can move wherever), single, not much debt, mid-20's.

    SurfAir Info

Will you be hiring FO's soon?

    Virgin America QOL

Are you guys getting new uniforms? No more Banana? What does the pilot group want?

    Shot at a legacy

Do you think SWA will drop the TPIC requirement given that none of the legacies require it and they'll be hiring quite a bit more?
  16. P

    Shot at a legacy

Does Alaska have a TPIC requirement? I remember hearing about some Horizon FO's going over a couple years ago.

    JetBlue class dates

What are the junior base/equip from junior to senior for BOS and JFK?

US Airways Pilot Pool and Hiring

Strong recs as in family members or just line pilots?

US Airways Pilot Pool and Hiring

What were competitive mins the last round of interviewing? I'm assuming when hiring really picks up, those competitive mins will drop. Also, how far to solid internal recs take you? Some airlines obviously put more weight on internal recs than others.

US Airways Pilot Pool and Hiring

I read that guys were getting DCA and CLT 320. I'm assuming Philly is a bit more senior then? Still, DCA and CLT aren't far off the amount of flights from ORD. I would think PHL has the most crash pads though.
