Just got an "Apply Now!" postcard from Cape Air, looks like they'll take over the EAS Montana Highline routes from Silver.

Haven't heard any updates on the crew status, hoping for the best.
Looking at different tug options, looks like the small Lektro (8600 series) would work for us. I've seen plenty at FBO's, but never used one. Specifically, I'm wondering about battery life and cost of replacements. Usage would be low, 2 or 3 times a week max. Any real-world info would be...
Somebody posted this article link on another board:

Not to be snotty about enhanced safety, but, why does this seem like a solution searching for a problem? I guess I thought (perhaps erroneously)...
hmmmmm.....................yee haw? This from Avweb:
GIDDY-UP FOR LOWER FARES
If the various indignities of modern airline travel haven't been enough to push some disgruntled passengers toward private aviation, the SkyRider just might. Italian airliner seat manufacturer Aviointeriors will...
Any pireps, good, bad, or ugly, on B60 Beech Duke training facilities? (I need initial training, for Part 91 insurance). Best program, best instructors, best sim, best value, etc.? SimCom, FSI, etc? Thanks for any info.
Anybody know if Kenn Borek hires U.S. pilots for their Canada/Arctic ops, and, if so, what are the realistic chances of a Yank getting hired? I understand one must go through the conversion process/tests to get a Canadian license. On the KBA website, they mention foreign pilots for the...
Anybody recently bumped into 135.143 and the Mode S requirements? Specifically, getting another older aircraft on your 135 certificate, but that aircraft has had an avionics upgrade recently with new transponder installed. Have you been forced to replace transponders with Mode S? Are there...
This on climbto350: (I'm not making this up!)
Low Time Pilots (International Ferrying) 150TT)
....looking for low time pilots to accompany our full time pilots during international ferry flights as a safety pilot.
There will be no pay for these flights, however we will pay for food...
Just looking for an average, what self-imposed flight time limits (if any) do most corporate Part 91-only flight departments adhere to, say, for 2-pilot crews, domestic ops? Similar to 135/121 rules, or way off the chart, or, none at all?
Thanks.
OK here's the scenario: 135 Basic Operator, limited to 5 pilots by ops specs. Approved company check airman is a D.E., used on a contract basis, not a full time company employee (and not an FAA guy either), stays qualified per 135.295, 135.297, 135.299, but does not fly any charter trips. Does...

Thoughts and prayers to families and friends,
Everybody PLEASE be careful out there!
Just saw this on climbto350:
HOG AIR Green Bay, WI
Cessna 414 Pilot (Part Time)
Duties will include being available 24hrs/day 7 days/week.
Keeping the Aircraft Clean (interior and Exterior) waxing, shampooing the carpet, and updating the GPS.
How is this part time? They probably want you...
Just got this, this company needs somebody right away, I don't know what they're after for minimums, obviously 135 mins. I think they also have a 210 in the fleet. Casper's not exactly a garden spot, but cost of living is low. That's all I know, (I don't work there, just acquainted with their...
61.55(d)(4)....."present application to an FAA FSDO or Examiner..."
Anybody obtained their SIC type rating with an Examiner instead of the FSDO? Can any old DE do this, or does the Examiner need to be qual'ed in type? (I wouldn't think so, there's really no test administered.) Thanks.
