Fededx Laid off 1000 workers today...sad day to all affected.
The employees in the Express company were given an opportunity to apply for vacant positions within the company. Don't know if they would require relocation or paid as much as the jobs that were eliminated. Don't know how many affected employees actually took advantage of this option... -

CO 737 off runway in DEN
The runway doesn't get any wider. Most of the incidents on rejected takeoffs at high speed involve the aircraft departing the side of the runway, rather than the end. Just another thing to consider when you contemplate aborting takeoff above V1. FJ -
