    DHL retirements?

The Airbus guys are happy where they are at. And I am sure that the Abex guys are happy with flying their own 767's.

I looked at the book last night. Only 3 to 5 per year over the next 5 years.

    Recommendation for cell phone/plan?

How's $7 a month sound? Virgin wireless, sold at circuit city, is the cheapest. It uses the sprint network. Buy a $20 pre-paid phone card, and it will not expire for 90 days. If you use the phone, it is 25 cents per minute for the first 10 minutes, then 10 cents per minute thereafter....per...

    Hey Mesaba drivers!

According to the local news, he got caught up in an under-cover sting operation. He solicited sex from a 15 year old over the internet, which turned out to be an under-cover female police officer. They had his picture on television...kind of bigger guy with a mustache, if I remember correctly...

accident with no violation & employment

It depends on whether your dad is a captain at that airline. I new a guy who got hired on at American Airlines with 2 accidents on his record.....turns out his dad was a captain over there.

Let me guess. You accidently hit the "dump" switch while adjusting the presurization.

    Seat Swapping

Don't do it. At a company I used to work for, a senior captain let a new copilot fly left seat in a Falcon 20. The tiller on some of our airplanes was touchy. After he let go of the tiller, the airplane struck a couple of runway lights, but they continued. ATC contacted the FAA. It wasn't...

    Dhl, Airborne?

Nothing new at DHL. New hub opens in July 2003. No pilots on furlough. Probably will not hire any pilots for at least another year.

    Housing Question for Comair Pilots

Apartment in Erlanger, KY I live in the Blue Grass Manor Apartments in Erlanger, KY. It is about a 10 minute drive to the airport. Rent is about $525 for a 2 bedroom apartment, $505 for a one bedroom. They offer an airline employee discount....5% off for people signing a new lease. They...

    DHL hiring?

DHL will most likely NOT hire pilots this year. Every meeting I go to, management says that we are over staffed from 40 to 80 pilots. (They are honoring our no-furlough agreement) The pilots say we are not over-staffed.....just under utilized.

    DHL- How are they doing?

No upgrades planned.....The decision to continue the hub will be made in the next couple of months. It will take a year to complete after the go ahead decision is made......No hiring of pilots in 2002....I do not know when pilots will be hired again..

    DHL- How are they doing?

So far so good at DHL. We will be acquiring 2 additional 727's this year. No furloughs because the new CEO said he would comply with our no furlough agreement as long as we have contractors on the property. No new pilots will be hired in 2002, even though we are getting 2 more airplanes.

    Pilots with a CDL

Some food for thought. My cousin was driving a truck in the family business and got into an accident. He was properly certified, and the accident wasn't his fault. Someone hit a vehicle from behind, and pushed that car into my cousins lane. He didn't have time to stop, and ended up squashing...

    Discrimanation or not?

Hog, I don't have a dog in this fight, but if you have the time and money, go ahead and sue. Let us know how it all turns out. It may cost you $2500 in legal fees. If nothing else, you will get your recall in x years, and won't have to worry about burning any bridges, because they weren't...
