a Pool of 40ish pilots have slowed the need for interviews at this point. It was mentioned by our CP on the private VA forum. Classes have not slowed, still plan on 170-185 to be hired this year. I would agree that anyone picked up this year may be looking at a 3 yr upgrade unless more...
They just changed personnel in HR with regards to Pilot hiring. In addition to them changing to 2 classes of 8 every month instead of one with 16. I imagine that things will become a bit more smooth after a few more months of consistent hiring. Right now plan on at least 16 new hires starting...
nextstep is an offer to interview. They usually give you a choice of two days; about three weeks out. If it goes well you will get a request for a drug test. Then the waiting begins. It took me a month and a half of waiting to get a class date assigned.
Does anyone remember how long it took Jet Blue to make money? Not really making an argument here. Just trying to compare a few apples to apples. Since they came form the same cloth and all. And I don't seem to remember them having all that great of work rules and pay when they opened thier...
there really seems to be no logic at all as to who they hire around here. I have seen really good guys not get it and people with no conectionsand what I would consider uncompetitive experience walk through the process in a matter of days. I don't know how its going to be now that the process...
I think that the people who are throwing the word socialism around on this thread should stop listening to Beck, and Limbaugh and pick up a book and read what socialism actually means. You may not like what the government is doing, fine. I don't agree with all of it either. But its not...
Hmmm. thats different than what they told us our first day last month. They were planing 67 new hires (12 started of this total as of my class start date). Classes every other week well into spring. I know they had said there were thousands of applications on their desk and hundreds of...
In all honesty I have no idea why they waited so long. Knowing how JO does business I imagine he can't stand the idea of a court telling what he can and can't do. That and BK court is expensive and he probably tried to put all his vendors over his knee first to see if he could get the saving...

He talked to MESA legal and they said the contract cancelation thing is unenforceable.
On a more personnel note. You won't see me wishing any sympathy on Mesa or their crews. They made the bed they rest in. They did not offer any backbone, or sympathy at any opportunity they have been given over there last ten years of existence. They have taken jobs, bases and pay form almost...
I think its fairly obvious to anyone that has been in this industry for the last five years to see what will will happen.
1. Any Airline given the option to reduce their exposure to 50 seat rj's will do just that. UAL, US, Delta has more than enough 50 seaters being used by their other...
I really liked my time at AWAC. I was there for 4 and a half years. Was there bad times? You bet. I ultimately left because of the commute to PHL and the poor quality of life it brought along with it. But the crews are great. The work rules are not bad unless your on reserve. FO pay isn't...
