You can't just look at the age 65 numbers. There will be several more who medical out and still more that call it quits around 62 when they're eligible for social security. I've flown with quite a few lately who are planning to leave "early"
LMAO! Your entire post is based on the ASSumption that my profile outlines my whole career. "Profiles" are for egomaniacs and mine won't show you a tenth of my experience or career.
"Influencing public opinion"....you make me laugh. You'll be better off once you realize that the public doesn't give two $hits about you or your contract. All they care about is the price tag, but go on believing they really care about you if it makes you sleep better at night.
Oh, and this...
GMAFB! Stressful my ass. The desk job I had while on furlough was ten times more stressful than flying. We're a bunch of pampered cry babies who'll never make enough money like back in the "good" ol' days, never have the schedules we so richly deserve, never get the respect we so badly deserve...

A friend of mine who's former military is going to work for the DOD in the middle east. He's not a pilot but will be acting as a crew chief and needs to have a 3rd class medical according to his contract.
He admitted to getting a DUI in 2007 (blew a .21!) after he came home from active duty...
It's not supposed to be "exciting" and let me tell you after being furloughed for a while, sitting behind a desk for 8 hours a day doesn't exactly get the adrenaline flowing either.
Yes, it's boring most of the time going A to B running the same checklists over and over again but it pays well...
The only way we (the public) are going to get these things out of our airports is a concerted effort to have EVERYONE opt out.
Stage an "opt out" day for those traveling on one of the busiest days of the year (close to Thanksgiving or Christmas) and watch the chaos ensue. You'll have the ATA...
