Definitely not a 400A in TXK. I really can't understand why they would advertise it as such, nothing to gain.
Oh, and Brett, that FO position is open again as of last Wednesday
Bell, for no reason other than curiousity, would you mention where the aircraft is based. This sounds familiar. PM me if you'd feel more comfortable with that. Thanks
Sounds like you got in the left seat in '99. If you logged any PIC time in a pressurized aircraft certified for above 250, before June 1997, you're golden. You were grandfathered in.
Google the N# and the first hit should be the FAA N#inquiry link. It's on the faa.gov site. It will list the date of MFR. Also if you know someone with an Aircraft Blue Book you can cross ref. it. Good luck.
Or you could follow the link above this post and it will take you where you want to be.
Good stuff Diesel. Another thing to consider without heat is the uneven heating of the individual panel, not just between the inner and the outer.
This was pointed out to me years ago on a flight at 280, and I failed to turn on the heat. The bottom right quadrant of the pilot windshield, and...
I was thinking 105 on the ws thermostat. I'm probably wrong though. I have some feelings on the windsheild issues too. At recurrent did they happen to have any stats on the altitudes where most of the 437 gave out?
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the issue.

It’s so the failure of one switch doesn’t kill both sides, a redundancy thing.

Plan on 18 or 19 minutes to 20k. 235 TAS at that altitude. We recently sold our 1997 90B, I still have a few books if you need some performance pages. Another option would be for me just to send you a recurrent manual and your buddy could mail it back after he's finished with it.
KING AIR MAINT.
Raytheon has a few different schedules. The one we have been operating under ther last 6 years is at least one phase every 200 hours, must have 4 phases complete within 24 months.
Flat rate inspection fee is for airframe and both engines. Hot section inpection time depends...
May Air closed shop a few years ago. The Sprindale Air Caravan also left a few years back. Nothing in TXK that I know of.
Martinaire had a Caravan there many years ago, but Sprindale took over the UPS run.
BigD, the Conquest II is a good airplane, but you mentioned cabin comfort so the 200 has it beat. They are about the same width, but the KA is taller. Though the cubic footage is close the King Air seems a lot bigger.
You can get a late 70's early 80's 200 for your price range. You can't...
Thanks deskjob. Are your planes first run engines, or have they been overhauled. I guess I'm asking what your engine total time range is. Thanks again. PRPJT
Have any of you done hot sections on -42's recently? I have some info from Pratt and Raytheon but am looking for some numbers from operators.
I'm looking for what other folks have seen price wise for HOTS on a first run engine at 1800 hrs, just trying to get a real budget range.
The plane...
We're a small operation and we do things pretty much like the others.
Hotel- Hilton, Marriott, Embassy
Absolutely no room sharing.
It is very rare that we are on an airline. When we do, it's the cheap seats. If I were going overseas to look at a plane or something I'd upgrade.
Company...
If it were a b200 only, and one owner, just flying with no mgmt duties it would be on the low side of OK.
Sounds to me like they are looking to fill 3 positions for one salary.
Pilot
Fleet manager
Flight instructor
This description looks like a hornets nest to me. As far as flying for 6...
