That's impressive, 100nm more range than a 30 year old Boeing. Now they just need to work on its cruise altitude, and perhaps some sort of climb capability. Maybe in 20 years or so they will build a 321 able to fly into and operate out of a region with mountains.
All that said, Boeing has...
The weather was just a contributing factor, according to the transcripts and the data, the ride wasn't all that bad. The real problems come in with basic airmanship then the fact that the AB philosophy does not allow feedback to the other pilots to let them overcome the bad airmanship. The...
I also wish they would do away with the recline... I'm 6"5' and having the seat in front slammed into my knees is way worse than just a "comfort" issue. It freakin hurts.
Yes they were, but the FAA would not allow them to operate the 170's on that certificate without going through the whole process almost from scratch. That, combined with the fast deliveries of 170's made a new WOed not feasible.
You are also correct, that they could if they wanted to...
No that is not the case, I posted a quote from Nicolau in this very thread. The West did try and have those pilots removed.
That is why it is so disgusting to me, we all expect to have the opposition argue how they should be senior, this went way above that.
"It is the position of the America...
No, the original plan was for MDA to become a Wholly Owned, but that never happened. do you remember when the whole thing was shut down in the beginning for a few months? If you do, that was when the FAA put the brakes on the WOed thing. Airways was left with the decision to either get a new...
I agree but there is more...
There never was a flow through, they were working on one but it never took place. No signed documents by any parties involved
Airways was desperate to find bodies to fill the right seats of the 170's, coming in a 3 per month. the pay was so bad that the furloughed...
"it is the position of the America West pilots that these pilots do not belong on the list"
I said the West wanted pilots removed from the list, I have proven that with your sacred Nic award.
The only thing still in dispute in your mind is the reason, its been 8 years but I will find the...
I give up, nobody is as mentally challenged as you guys make out to be, so therefore you are just making like the Internet trolls we all know you to be. So go ahead back to your BS and have a great day.
By the way when I do dig up the west's argument, I will post it here so that everyone will...
Are you freakin mental? Let's see if I type slowly maybe you will get it.
THIS WAS FROM NIC'S DECISION OK????
MY STATEMENT WAS FROM THE WEST POSITION GIVEN TO NICOLAU BY THE WEST PILOT??? DO YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE OR DO YOU NEED MORE HELP?
I had to re type this section of page 20 of the Nicolau award as I have no idea how to cut and paste a PDF on here. I am still looking for the original West position that was submitted to Nicolau.
Nicolau Award page 20...
" It is the position of the America West pilots that these pilots...
I never said the award, Nic did not buy the west line. I said the west's argument. I am really sick and tired of all the BS you try and spread, all you do is try to discredit and obfuscate the truth.
Again, for the people with trying to hide behind BS.... Go read it for yourselves...
Spin spin spin,
All one has to do is read the west submission, don't believe me, or anyone awarding points, for cripes sake look it up for yourself and then decide who is telling the truth.
Please look it up.
Lets remind everyone what our "West union brothers" tried to do in Nic's court room to their fellow pilots.
These high and mighty, self righteous, honorable, and so full of integrity knights of all things good, tried to have about 90 pilots removed from employment at US Airways. That is right...
I noticed the reason all the qualified pilots (1500 hrs) are NOT employed is because they could not pass muster. Not at all about them NOT being able to pay rent on the wages being offered.
It looks like with the big love affair with RC planes, everything with a pilot on board will be on the chopping block. I'm sure the guys on the ground with their backs against it will just love trying to communicate with a pilot sitting at a computer terminal exactly what needs attention.
But...
