I bought this software thinking I could use it to stay sharp. I need at least an HSI and RMI.
The Caravan and Mooney panels are truly worthless. You have to squint to read the HSI.
Are there any addons that make it usable?
Edit - Just tried the Baron....much closer view of the panel...much...
I was rinsing out the pot on our AC and ran a paper tower around the inside and it came out black.
What products do you use to clean out the pot?
Or does the black stuff make it taste better?
Ive heard there is a new faa ruling. A 135 company cant hire a contractor if they didnt go to recurrent on their 135 certificate.
So even if the contract pilot is current and qualified they cant contract to a 135 company.
Any more info on this?
So , what is it like 1st year? I heard 11 days off a month on reserve? How many days off a month 2nd , 3rd, 4th year? About how long does it take to hold a line out of DFW?
A DFW base would be great...does it go Junior? Or does that depend on the class's age?
Is AE liberal with unpaid leaves...
So, I went to login to airlineapps.com to refresh my Delta Application.
I was greeted with a page that said my single application had expired. I think I last logged in a month ago.
All of the data I had entered is gone.
UNLESS....I pay the $64.40 for the year. And then my application is...
Ok, so maybe I am the last pilot on earth that didn't know this. But on the identification strip of the ASRS report it asks you the reason you are submitting a report.
You should be really careful what you put here. Because it can and has been used against an airman.
"Be careful when filling...
I was looking to burn some holes in the sky and not my credit card.
Is there anything in the DFW area (preferably up north) under $100 an hour?
I talked with Marcair out of Roanoke and they have a 150 for $78 an hour. Rather pricey.
Thanks!
I was looking at the charts for Mexico and it says :
Approach charts:
QNE (Transition level) is FL195
QNH (Transition altitude) is 18500
Then on the airway chart:
QNE FL200 or above
QNH 18000 or below
So , which one do you use?
What do you use if you are at 19,000?
Thanks!
From everything that the new contract has to offer it sure seems like it is a great place to hang your hat.
I always figured I would end up at an airline and retire from there after many many years of service. But now the picture is different.
The quality of life that fractional flying can...
Never done this before so I was wondering what the best methods are to put yourself out there.
I have a type rating I wanted to so a bit of contract work with and was wondering how you guys do it?
Do you just troll the job boards? Or do people find you because you posted your resume...
With the age 65 thing changing it got me to wondering about people hired at the fractionals. How many fell into the 60-65 age bracket?
I wonder if the number is really that great...did the age 65 change hurt the amount of eligible candidates for the fractionals?
Or will it be balanced out by...
I was googling around and came across this. I haven't read it yet but the first few pages. Looks like it might be a really good write up/guide.
Thoughts?
