A 4 page thread about a GIV over run and 3 of the 4 pages are about corporate vs airlines. Exactly why I left this dump for *************** and only come back once every few months to see why I left.
Tiger is going to be back as good as ever before we know it. Personal problems or not, he may be the best golfer to ever live. Bill Clinton made his comeback, so did Kobe. I cant see Tiger falling to the wayside because of something as trivial(in the celebrity grand scheme of things) as this.
I know a guy that did the alarm clock trick while flying singe pilot in a caravan. Once he was so tired it didnt wake him up and he flew on for an hour before he woke up. So what did he do?? He bought a LOUDER alarm called the screamin meemie. Then the battery died and he flew to Canada before...
Our SOPs dont say anything about it, but our CP officially says its not only OK, but smart to take a nap. Just make sure the other guy is on the same page and wont be falling asleep too. Sucks getting woken up by SELCAL at 25 west and its Shanwick wondering were you are.
Im pretty sure you are talking abou this one. It was in Yreka. Someone "decorated" it in full AMF splendor and as rumor has it, someone in Yreka(one of the couriers perhaps) emailed a picture of it to BUR and VERY shortly after it was replaced with a brand new Ford Focus.
I was in Prague a year or so ago and loved it. I did a bike tour with this place called Praha Bike, for about $20. I would definately suggest checking them out. You get a great tour of the city with someone that knows a lot about what your seeing. Lots of fun. They also do a bike pub crawl...
We taxi single engine when operations permit. Mostly taxi in, but sometimes taxiing out in busy places where an extended taxi or hold is expected. Even the filthy rich(and cheap charter) have to be smart about cutting down fuel expenses if they are to remain competitive these days. That said...
I think its easy to blame GIA out of a general dislike of the type of operation that it is. I too am a strong believer that PFT is BS. It can also be said that there is reason to believe that the attitude of a person that thinks shortcuts and buying your way into a job is acceptable, is...
I have rented at LGB flying club within the last year and I found it to have descent airplanes and reasonable prices. The club rules and dues structure are really good for a flying club too.
Haha, exactly what I thought. 11 days on that schedule doesnt sound too bad. I get sent out for 18 days nonstop every month in a plane that routinely crosses 7 time zones. Try doing that for a couple years..
Thanks for clearing that up mxer. OF COURSE what I meant was that they are rightfully proud of their training program. As a former AMF Metro pilot, I also know first hand that they take no pride in loosing airplanes. I should have known someone would try to spin what I said that way...
