What did you want from the Comair pilot group?

Did you want them to stand behind you and help you go #1 in the john?

Get out and do something for yourself.

This may not be the brightest day in Comair history but that pilot group still has accomplished more that your lame a$$!!!

Why are you so interested in this that you had to start a thread then post five times defending the Comair pilots? Who exactly do you work for that you think you have some right to tell me to "do something for myself". Let's lay your contract down next to mine. Go ahead. Im guessing you work for Comair, Mesa, or PSA.

Oh, by the way, I know why they gave us the 89 days back for seniority. Since we said yes to this pos those 89 days don't mean sh!t!

A lot of people might take offense to this post, but I do not really care. The fact that anyone even considered voting for this is pathetic. To any and all Comair pilots that voted for this concession, you should be shot and rot in hell. You have no respect for yourselves at all. If I were in your shoes, I would get on my hands and knees in the middle of the street and suck on an Arab's d*ck just to get some self respect back and raise my dignity level a hair. That is how low you are. If management threatened you with not expanding shall you turn it down, then so be it. That would just mean they are not serious about running an airline. Management got this concession from you guys so easily that I guarantee in the near future they will be coming back saying you did not give enough back. It has been happening at the majors now for three years. If you do not believe me, then it is because you are oblivious to how management works. If I was the CEO for Comair, I would milk you guys for all you are worth. He will too. It looks like hiring your uneducated Comair Academy pilots finally caught up to you. No disrespect to the pilots that have degrees. The uneducated pilots over there finally sold respectable pilots like myself and just under half of the Comair guys out because we have the greatest job in the world and would do it for basically nothing. When will our pilot group as a whole get respect for ourselves and bring this back to a profession? It has been a crappy job long enough.

I did not vote because I couldn't (year one probation) so I will accept the fate that has been put before me. Your post is inappropriate and sad. I went to the Academy. I have a college degree and turned down law school because I wanted to do something I would be happy doing. If I had the chance I probably would have voted no, but what's done is done. Don't generalize and imply that everyone whose opinion differs from yours is uneducated and stupid however. I have several close friends that fly for your company and I hope they never have to fly with you for their sake. ;)

Hey FOOD,

Yea I fly for Comair and, like many, support your endevours and wish you the best. But confuse that with thinking that we or I owe you something.

Even with this freeze our agreement is something you can only hope for in this day and time. Quit crying and improve your own state of affairs.

Right on my man.

Ya nailed it, chperplt. First thing I thought of when I read the hockey guy's post.

Jeckel,
Your right, you guys don't owe anyone. I hate to say this, but you didn't buy a/c with your concessions. You just paid for ASA's new raise and contract. Thats what Delta really wanted from you, not a down payment of for A/c, but a down payment for ASA's contract to come

I bet you're right. I bet the Comair pilots just helped give ASA a raise, up to their pay freeze numbers. Amazing!

Bye Bye--General Lee

Got news for you JECKEL, the ASA pilots had the industry leading contract for 2 years until you negotiated yours, when you topped ours.

Got news for you ATRDRIVER. :D

ACA actually topped your contract when they signed on February 9, 2001. THEN Comair topped ACA...then Air Wisky topped Comair...Then Mesa...Air Wisky concessions...ACA concessions...CHQ...Mesaba....Eagle...then XJT...and now back to Comair.

Sheesh man, tell us how you really feel...

Takes away some of the high moral ground from which to cast stones, however....

Some roller coaster ride the last few years, huh?

Hey BluDevAv8r, like the avatar. Big game Sunday. Unfortunately I'll be up in the air somewhere. Thank goodness for Tivo!

Well, I must say. I too will not look any of you in the eye again. You have let all of us down.
You will carry a heavy burden of shame for a long time.

Good luck fellas.

All I can say, Is this industry makes me sick. Each and every day I hope that we might have reached rock bottom, and that things will start to get better. But that day never comes. I know our contract at ASA will get done now, but it won't be worth much if any in the compensation parts.

Grew up in NC. When you are about 8 you have to make a choice that will last your entire life. Wake, Duke, State, or *cough*.. Carolina

Thanks alot brothers!

I can understand why some would vote for this loa(upgrade time) but its tough to contemplate why so many would vote yes. Come on guys management at Delta, comair and ASA are out tonight at Spondivits drinking lots of beer( maybe even the GENERAL)? . I do not post on this site very much but I just have restate whats already been said. Those airplanes were already painted and set aside for comair. ASA at best will be stuck with Comair -1%. Your strike meant nothing. The divide that will occur between Comair and ASA over this will weaken our positions in negotitations forever. I actually belived in all the unity talk, but maybe thats why our stickers from ALPA were so small. But then again maybe we should " not hate the player, and just hate the game."

Where's Surplus in all this?? I can't believe it man, you should be wailing away about how Comair is setting the standard for the industry!
Where oh where could he be??

Should we take you more seriously chperplt because you have run you mouth for 2,600 posts?

(P.S. AFELLOWAVIATOR, where are you ???????)

Like it or not, a large number of guys voted for this because they were afraid that the CHQ list would grow at our expense if we did not do something to approach CHQ's much lower pay. So I can't show a lot of love to some one over there who castigates us when our concession still overwhelms his original rate. Like I said, I ain't happy with it, but I'm not letting any body with less blow sunshine up my skirt about it either.

Well, lets see. Ours was signed in 1998, so that means for 3 years we had the industry leading contract, until ACA topped it. My point was, and is, the world didn't begin when you signed, and you aren't the only ones who have ever held the bar, so maybe it's time you stopped telling everyone how tired your arms are.

Well Fred has you now, He can sell you off with this fixed cost, as he wanted too. You all know he really wants to work for Delta didn't you. You just gave him that free pass. I hope you all know that the E-170 are only going to be replacement aircraft, so no growth, but I guess you did not see this coming because you were playing with your d--ks. The new owners will not be Delta and so you take another pay cut to travel because your free pass will be gone........ Have fun Boys......P.S who do I mail my sticker back to, It is not going on my flight bag...

You know nothing of the LOA. How does going from 164 air frames to 199 equate to "replacement"?

Stop chewing on your sour grapes. You're spewing out whining stuff relating really just to your own percieved poor circumstances.

You did not have a vote; the CMR pilots did. 60 - 40

They will live with it, so should you. As a matter of fact, you have no choice in the matter.

P.S Maybe the Comair guys will not get Blackballed now, when the Preferential hiring starts at Delta.

Ahem! That's only preferrential interviews for our kind, whereas BigD has preferrential hiring here! I guess it's better than nothing, though.

I do agree with the other poster stating that the yes-voters probably felt a lot of pressure from the lower-paid contract carriers and couldn't fathom the thought of all that growth passing us up once again.

Pesonally, I'd rather go back to playing in radiation than going through all this management-labor-whipsaw games and craaap! But I'll play their games a while longer and see where this strange trip leads.

...one of the DOHgangers

60% of you guys suck. I expected more from your group. Guess the hardness from that three month walk wore off, huh? You just got your a$$es sold down the river. I won't be able to contain my laughter when Fred puts the screws to you. I thought out of ANY pilot group (even over my own) you guys would be the last to buy some growth. Chumps.
