Just wanted to start a lighter topic for a change. Just curious what some other airlines get to fly around. There must be some good stories out there.

I've seen the occasional big shot sports personality, some politicians ,and one big porn star, which really got the FA giggling, but all in all I think other airlines must be getting a lot more interesting folk.

I've flown Quincy Jones twice, both times LAX-SFO. Extremely gracious man, stopped by the flightdeck each time to say "thanks" after the flight.

The Donald. Very nice. Marla Maples was fun to look at. (yes, it was that long ago)

One of Jimmy Carter's kids. Meh, the Secret Service guy was more interesting...had a great machine gun.

Oh, and Gore Vidal.

Prince and Angelina Jolie. Surprised about how tiny both of them were. Eric Dickerson was on a flight to HNL around All Star game time...also smaller than I expected.

Just had Wanda Sykes on the plane the other day. Patti Labelle a few months back. I've had Max Weinberg (of The E Street Band and Late Night with Conan O'Brien fame). My first celebrity was Carrot Top (pre-rehab when he was all juiced). My favorite though was what my 20 year-old RJ F/A termed some football coach dude...who turned out to be Ditka (nice guy, btw).

Paul Ryan about a week before he was announced as Mitt's running mate. Warrick Dunn, who I mistook for Reggie Bush, who had just won the Heisman and totally embarrassed myself, Dennis Gage from my classic car, Tony Dungy, and my all time favorite and personal hero Gene Kranz. Talked to him for about 5 minutes and he treated me as if we had known each other 20 years. I'm still kicking myself for not getting a pic or autograph.

RV

Joe Montana, Ted Turner/Jane Fonda, Prince, Paula Abdul, Jaclyn Smith, Dick Gephardt, John McCain....a few more that I am forgetting.

Sophia Loren from BUR to LAS. What a lovely and gracious lady!

"My pilot broke one of my plane's engines, so I'm flying with you to Las Vegas..."

Jerome Bettis, the College Gameday crew, Stan Lee, Duck Commander's Phil and Kay, Paula Creamer (LPGA player), and the Blowfish (of Hootie fame). haha

Liza Minelli, LGA-BHM on a CRJ-700. Was one of my worst landings ever, too.

Reggie Jackson, Val Kilmer, and the head of the DOT. I forget his name but it was priceless because we were delayed due to ATC restrictions during the sequester when controllers were furloughed. He was nice and talked to us in the jetway for a while.

Peyton Manning, Emmitt Smith, Hank Williams Jr, John Smoltz, the band Sugarland, John Shureholtz, Mike Hukabee, Lou Holtz,

When I flew corporate charters I had George Harrison of the Beatles on board.
His limo at Teteboro was a tad late. He decided to stay on the aircraft and he even took the liberty of getting us diet cokes from the back while we waited.

Of the many celebrities that I have had the pleasure of flying around he was
The most memorable.

Shaq, Paul McCartney, Phil Mickelson, Sandra Bullock, Bud Walton, Malloof family, T Boone Pickens and family, Frank Caliando, Eli Manning, Kid Rock, A-Rod, David Spade, senators, governors, Sec Def, tons of baseball players.... Too many more to mention. Shaquille O Neil was a class act, flew him several times never forget him and how respectfull he was.

part 135 days- george clooney 3x(and his then hot italian gf), eddie vedder, oprah(huuuuuuuge butt), lisa maire presley, and a couple others that i'm spacing on...

part 121 days- ben stiller(super nice guy, took photos with the crew and insisted on doing "blue steel" poses), alex o'laughlin (hawaii50), joan rivers (scary looking in person)...

all were pretty cool... it was the rich businaess types that were a--holes....

Christian Slater (came up to say thanks after landing), Pam Anderson (looked wobbly), Whitney Houston (with bodyguard), LL Cool J (extremely nice), Luke Perry (said "nice landing Capt"), and Joel McHale (I gave him wings and he attached it to his jeans, he was very nice).

Bye Bye---General Lee
