Eric Holder - just another puppet like Lois Lerner from IRS

Lets see - isn't Dallas in the REPUBLICAN STATE OF TEXAS

It is all about the fight over Regan airport in DCA and slots and politics

Isn't this the same administration who approved delta/ northwest and united / continental in the last five years?

Highly doubt it's about DCA slots. You think politicians give a ******************** about ticket prices?, they don't pay for em

The attorney generals in each of these states is just covering themselves, such that they can say they tried to block this when it comes time for re-election. In the end, DC has no leg to stand on- there are three airports with a heavy domestic presence to feed the local economies. BWI, DCA, and IAD more than foster enough competition. 4 airlines controlling 80% of this air travel isn't a huge deal- 20% per carrier. I look for both sides to give, take, negotiate, and bargain to get this through. Democrat, republican, it doesn't matter anyway- bankers run this economy and the country. And they stand to take a beating the most if this doesn't go through.

"Consumers will likely also be harmed by the planned merger because
American had a standalone plan to emerge from bankruptcy poised to grow. American planned to expand domestically and internationally, adding service on nearly 115 new routes. To support its plan, American recently made the largest aircraft order in industry history."

"A revitalized American is fully capable of emerging from bankruptcy proceedings on its own with a competitive cost structure, profitable existing business, and plans for growth."

What total delusional BULLCHIT!!!!

GOOD JOB VOTING DEMONRAT, you 100,000 unionized employees at American and US Airways! Is this the hope and change you were looking for?

Exhibit #427 that this administration is willfully and purposefully attempting to destroy the American economy.

"Passengers to and from the Washington, D.C. area
are likely to be particularly hurt"
Whoomp, there it is! We can't have OUR chosen elites suffer!
- 4 of 10 of the richest counties in the USA? District of Calamity parasitical leeches.
- Increasing home prices? Only near DC over the medium term.
- Increasing annual income? DC, baby! You other proles can eat cake.

The GDP was shrinking at -5.4% after 8 years of a Republican administration and in the economy was in the midst of the worst recession in a few generations. Since Obama took office the economy has grown in 15 of 17 quarters, including nine straight. But hey, why let facts get in the way of partisan rhetoric.

Yep, its all about Obama politics. That is exactly why the flaming liberal attorneys generals of those communist states Texas and Arizona joined the suit.

As far as high incomes in DC, can you tell me, where do you think the professional lobbyists for the oil and gas industry reside? How about the lobbyists for the health insurance and pharmsuitical industries? How about the lobbyists and salesman for the defense conctractors? Where do you suppose the lobbiests for the financial industry reside? Corporate lobbyists have some of the highest non-executive salaries in the country, and many/most live in DC. Ever look down at all the mansions around DC when you arrive or depart? I have a hint for you, those aren't for Democrat Department of Education paper pushers...

You are so blinded by rage and ideology that you can't think your way out of a paper bag with a tear down the side.

Highly doubt it's about DCA slots. You think politicians give a ******************** about ticket prices?, they don't pay for em

Read the lawsuit

It is all about DCA , everything else they quote in the opening statements is totally BS

And they have about 5 pages of city pairs that they say would be in violation of some anti trust law

Those city pairs are we're all flown by Delta and Northwest and United and Continental prior to those mergers.

There is a lot of money on the table - this is going to be fight. I hope American comes out and says we are laying off thousands in Florida, Texas and New York.
And blame it on Eric Holder

..

80 percent is pretty high. They are going to need to sell those DCA slots and bring that number below 60 percent, among other concessions if they want this to go through.
