Top 50 and cant hold a line on the plane you want?? OK. Why not go for 2nd choice then bid when it becomes available?! I'm sure top 50 can hold a nice line as a CA at any base.

You guys need to lighten up because this is an anonymous web forumn. I like reading someone elses opinion even if they don't like mine like Field Marshall Lee. Really!? Asking a question means I need to lighten up? Thanks, but I will continue to be "high-strung" and ask. If he was talking about his current seat, then it makes sense, but that was neither said nor implied. :beer: Anyway, this guy is going to go "lighten up" with a few drinks and a swim.

IAHERJ has it right. The Dalpa seniority calculator says I should be in the top 50 when I retire, which will be in more than a decade from now (and less than 2 decades, there's your hint). I will go for an upgrade when I can hold a decent line on a plane I want to fly, which for me would be the 737 first, and then bigger eventually. Until then, I will enjoy my seniority and enjoy seeing the World on the company's dime. Happy New Year.
